This was the first story that I’ve read by Lisabet Sarai, and I can safely say that it won’t be my last.  I can’t wait to go back and read more of her stuff.  Necessary Madness is an exhilarating erotic paranormal mystery from beginning to end.

The main character, Kyle has a gift or what he calls a “curse”.  He sees the future in his dreams, vivid, yet sporadic images of violence yet to come.  He feels death is a better alternative than living, so he leaves behind the help of doctors and medical facilities for life on the streets, hoping to find a way out.

His life however takes a sudden turn, when Rob, a police officer falls in love with him and insists on helping.  Yet Rob has secrets of his own.  Haunted by the death of his sister who shared the same gift as Kyle, Rob is determined to help Kyle understand his gift and at the same time, uncover the truth about his sister’s mysterious death.

The villain of the story is a practitioner of the black arts.  He’s seductively dark, smart, and charming.  This character is so well written that the reader will both love him and hate him at the same time.

The sex between Kyle and Rob is graphic, passionate and intense and is as much a part of the story line as the mystery itself.  There is also a pretty vivid female masturbation and male/female S&M scene, so there’s plenty for everyone here.

Necessary Madness is a must read.  It will hook you in within a few pages and won’t let you go until the final climatic scene. Buy a copy today, you won’t be disappointed.
